Welcome to The Copper Pot, proudly serving delicious food since 2009 at our original location in Mount Airy, NC. We’re excited to share that our second location in Cana, VA is now open! As of May 2024, guests can enjoy the same great food and welcoming dining experience at both locations.

"This place is a real Gem!! The best country plate of food I had in a long time. I came here due to the truck stop across the street being closed and I regret not coming here sooner. I had a delicious plate of fried chicken liver with gravy peppers and onions, fried squash, loaded baked potato and fried apples and I left beyond satisfied with food left to take because portions are healthy and not expensive!! Staff very welcoming and polite as well!"

Wonderful service, good food, affordable prices, and easy to get off/on the road. Family vacation brought us to the area and we ate breakfast here then came back for supper. Largest and best pancake I've ever had, great advice from staff both times, and everyone finished what they could on their plates with full bellies. Locals eat here as well as folks traveling thru and I can say we will definitely be back next time we're in the area.

After using the Google, we rolled the dice and took a chance on The Copper Pot.
We are so glad we did.
The staff was lovely, the atmosphere welcoming despite being busy, and the food satisfied the soul. I brought along 3 kids and they were just as welcome as my wife and I.
The catfish was great, and the fried steak was so soft and tender I didn't need a knife.
The sides really shined, as the pintos were perfect and the collards you could dang near write home about.
The whole experience was so nice, that we made it a point to stop by again on the way back.
I think it deserves a mention that in this day and age, I fed a family of 5 here for less then $60 bucks. We didn't go cheap either, we had fun with the menu.

I knew I was in the right place when you can’t find a parking spot! Food was great and came out quickly. Service was awesome. We had Philly cheesesteak and a BLT. The buffalo chips were the prize though! Greatness!

If you are lucky enough to find yourself within the proximity of Mount Airy NC, you must make arrangements to dine at The Copper Pot. Truly authentic southern cooking, service and the like.
The meat loaf was exactly like my Nana's! The service is spot on, not hovering too much and they help each other so your glass of sweet tea will never go empty. The carrot cake is sublime. It has a cream cheese icing which is very complimentary to the cake. Compliments to the Cook! I'll always stop in when ever I'm in the area.
